My little ones love A Beautiful Oops. They love the pictures. They love the dog-ears. They love the holes. And I love reading it to them.
When I’m finding myself in a bit of a creative slump it’s a book I turn to. It’s the perfect reminder to me – the grown-up – that creative magic can be found anywhere. I just have to be willing to jump in, make some oops-es, and see what happens.
After reading the book, I’m sure you (and your little one) are ready to do the same! So, let’s make some Oops Art!
You Will Need
Art Supplies – glue, paper, markers, crayons, googly eyes, whatever you’d like!
(simple, right?! yeah, we like that! being creative with your little ones doesn’t have to be complicated!)
What to Do
Start with your oops. Don’t have any oops-es lying around?! We didn’t. No problem at all, just make some. We splashed some liquid watercolors on paper. Super easy (and fun!).
Bust out your oops-es and any supplies you have and get creative! How can you transform your oops?
Can you make an entire book of your own filled with beautiful oops-es?
Can you remember a time when something didn’t go as planned? How did you react? How did it make you feel?
Next time something goes wrong – whether a creative endeavor or not – think about your oops-es. How can you make the situation beautiful?
